After trying to sell efficiency for a decade I realised that unless you are German you have a natural tendency to revolt against anything that tries to put constraints on you. Accordingly many of the green and/or efficiency solutions are trying to fight human nature which is always a losing battle.
In the new world we built dreams on the concept of abundance. Come here and you can be released from the chains of aristocracy and be and if you work hard have anything your want.
So does the planet have a hope you ask?
Yes – but only if we kill coal fast and embrace the three pillars of abundance..
- Nanogrid PV power at home – You can waste all the energy you want as long as you make it on your roof.
- Controllable industrial loads accessing the “almost” free energy from wind turbines once they have paid off their capital costs in 10 to 15yrs
- Atonomous EV’s that get you their faster (once we get those dangerous humans off the road)
